My name is Kevon Thompson and I’m pretty nifty with a camera I must say.
I’ve been in video and audio production for the past 15+ years and it came from just going out with a camera and some friends. We've created projects to make you laugh, cry, gasp and even ask, "How the hell did you do that?" When deciding to take this seriously, I told myself that I was going to learn as much as I can; everything from pre-production to distribution. I wanted to dive into as many projects as I can, create things for myself, as well as help make others' visions come into reality.
I started my career in the CSU East Bays television studio, where I was able to get my hands on all kinds of equipment and help students learned and grow their production skills, and also develop myself professionally. I've since then worked in marketing departments of awesome companies, such as Educents, Onyx Media, and Vagaro. I started my own web series called This Week in Blade (TWIB) that sparked my love for social media content creation. From that i've been able to grow in my role at Vagaro to become their first Social Video Manager. I've been able to increase their web video presence and create some stunning projects that have reached all corners of the internet. Its honestly been so fun!
Video production is my love, life, and passion. If any of my teachers said the magic words “You can do a video this assignment if you would like,” believe I was the first one to turn their project in. I love this stuff, and I want to share that with you. Lets create amazing together!
